Another of my older painting. I done this one quite a long time ago. As a matter of fact, when I joined the Art Club I use acrylic paint as it was what the members were using. I just started to paint awhile before and done a couple in oil, I had never painted before in my life. I wanted to do something different beside embroidery, ect, painting appealed to me and I gave it a go. I am self-taught,and this was my third one, a bit larger than the other ones. One can tell I was a beginner
Mum... no one would ever have known you were a beginner when you painted this one if you hadn't said... a fantastic job for one of your "beginnings"... lovely indeed. As a self taught artist, we develop our "own style" instead of adopting someone else's....Hugs.
Hi. Heather...Thanks for your nice comment...I suppose if I did'nt say,I had not done any painting before, nobody would not have known, but to be honest I knew when I looked at this one,but my more new one I have improve an awfully lot...Ah well... Laurette.
Dear Mom, So untrue! you do not give credit to yourself saying that we can see it is a beginner's. I could not say so, plus there are so many art styles out there. For sure it is all a matter of taste but we either like or dislike. I find your creation very nice indeed, it has depth, a nice background, a lovely sky, the reflection of the light as it becomes dusk or it could be dawn is very interesting on the lake and in the field. Very nice ! Hugs Love Theresa
I have always had a love of the computer and had a desire to have a blog. With the help of my daughter, that has now become a reality.
I am french by birth, and taught myself English at a young age - please forgive my sometimes incorrect grammar.
I am a mother of four children, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
I like to create all kinds of different things and am constantly working on something. I do everything from needlepoint, embroider, and cross stitch, to painting, drawing and writing.
I love to learn and enjoy the challenge of learning a new craft or task on the computer.
Sometimes, changes are a good thing!!!
