all the squares I was working on and put a couple on my blog are finished. At the time I put a couple pictures to show what I was working on, I had only a couple to finished. Lots of work to do the embroidery and also to put them together. I had to decide what color the material should be and I opt for red , as all the butterflies were more or less in pastel.
Dear Mom, WOW!!!!! WOW!!! I don't recall seeing these squares that you were working on. They are lovely... So much embroidery, I envy your talent and time to get them done. Beautiful work! Neat job assembling them together too. Hugs Love Theresa
Mum... this indeed did turn out lovely, you did a great job! And I love the red as a contrast, and the rick rack really sets off the squares. I know you have been working on these squares for a looooong time and I envy your patience and persistence - I am not a fan of monotony and I get bored way too easily... good for you for getting them done, putting them together, and making something useful out of them.... Hugs.
Theresa and Heather..Thanks for the nice comments. It has beena lot of work and quite awhile to finish. I am glad they are done and put together as a bed spread. Now on other things. Laurette
I have always had a love of the computer and had a desire to have a blog. With the help of my daughter, that has now become a reality.
I am french by birth, and taught myself English at a young age - please forgive my sometimes incorrect grammar.
I am a mother of four children, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
I like to create all kinds of different things and am constantly working on something. I do everything from needlepoint, embroider, and cross stitch, to painting, drawing and writing.
I love to learn and enjoy the challenge of learning a new craft or task on the computer.
Sometimes, changes are a good thing!!!
