I did a bit of work on my block. It does not look too great right now,but I guess once I add more embellishment it might help. I am still studying it to see what else I can do . It is not as easy as one might think,as one as to be careful to use the right color to unify the whole block.
Dear Mom, it is coming along very nice your CQ block. I like your laces and trims. One step at a time. The embellishment is a slow process choosing this and that, but you are definetly getting there. I'm sure that it will be dazzling when you are finished. Hugs Love Theresa
Every little bit of work helps to get things completed, VBG! It is a challenge to come up with ideas and inspiration to bring it all together.... but you'll get there. Hugs.
Hello Laurette, You have done a lovely job of adding the stitches and lace. Do you know what you will use the block for??? If you have a theme maybe you could add some stitched motifs in the center of the patches??? Just an idea. Hugs Judy
Laurette, You're off to a wonderful start! I love the initial you embroidered. That's a true masterpiece and showcases your lovely embroidery skills. I can't wait to see this progress! Hugs, Cathy
Judy. Thanks for your comment. I am making a small cushion for my bed. I appreciate your advise ,and I cetainly will keep it in mind as I have other block to do with all the satin I have. Laurette.
Hi,Cathy, thank you for your comment. It is always nice to hear from you, specially at this time ,when I am working on my block. You are too generous with your compliment and hopefully I will be able to do well. Laurette.
I have always had a love of the computer and had a desire to have a blog. With the help of my daughter, that has now become a reality.
I am french by birth, and taught myself English at a young age - please forgive my sometimes incorrect grammar.
I am a mother of four children, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
I like to create all kinds of different things and am constantly working on something. I do everything from needlepoint, embroider, and cross stitch, to painting, drawing and writing.
I love to learn and enjoy the challenge of learning a new craft or task on the computer.
Sometimes, changes are a good thing!!!
