This quilt was done years ago. It is a lap quilt to use when taking a nap on the sofa for fifteen minutes. I was told years ago one should take a nap after lunch by my aunt which she did herself faithfully, specially when one gets up early in the morning. It suppose to help with the rest of the day. I have been looking at some of the small ones I have done and will post more.
It is sure fun to look at all the lovely things you have made over the years.... you did make many quilts. This was when you did a lot of hand-quilting. Lovely!
Dear mom, I enjoy visiting your museum, there are so many interesting pieces. You were always very good with quilts. I see this is done with your favorite colors. I admit that your love for quilts has rubbed off on me. I take pleasure in this art of playing with colors and pieces if materials. Nice job ! Hugs XXX Theresa.
What a lovely quilt! I'll check back to see the other quilts you plan to post...Thank you for sharing it with us! Happy Stitchin'... Carolyn http://www.stitchopedia.com An encyclopedia of needlepoint stitches…
I have always had a love of the computer and had a desire to have a blog. With the help of my daughter, that has now become a reality.
I am french by birth, and taught myself English at a young age - please forgive my sometimes incorrect grammar.
I am a mother of four children, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
I like to create all kinds of different things and am constantly working on something. I do everything from needlepoint, embroider, and cross stitch, to painting, drawing and writing.
I love to learn and enjoy the challenge of learning a new craft or task on the computer.
Sometimes, changes are a good thing!!!
